The Amplitude Racing Team!

What started as speeding on state highways has evolved to a passion and hobby for Chris, owner of Amplitude, and her husband John Breternitz.

Both drive the Amplitude racecar, #21 shown here. John's focus is in Club Racing and Chris' is in Time Trials. Most events take place on "road racing tracks" such as Laguna Seca, Infineon, California Speedway, and Thunderhill Speedway. Chris has several records in her class on tracks such as Infineon, Thunderhill Raceway and Laguna Seca, and recently took the checkered flag with a first place finish in the Porsche Club of America Race at California Speedway.

When Chris and John aren't in the racecar, they keep their driving skills honed in their shifter karts at the local kart track. These karts are "go-carts" with motorcycle engines and 6 gears. They closely emulate the feel of a Formula 1 racecar and are LOTS of fun! Top speeds run 65 MPH.
